Photographer: Ryland Haggis, Redpilot Media. (I helped too)
Here’s a funny thing… So my multimedia company, Redpilot was hired to do a cover shoot of a physically exhausted runner for the cover of the British Journal of Sports Medicine. We had 2 days to shoot it , and missed the opportunity to grab some shots of tired runners at a big marathon by a few hours on the first day, and it was pouring rain the next day, so the shoot got pushed until late Sunday night.
*Cue panic.* Who are we gonna shoot? How are we gonna get this shot? Do you know any models? Or runners. Pause. Reflect. Oh right you’re a model. Aren’t you? And didn’t you run? You must have run at some point! Let’s just shoot you.
Gah. So at 11pm on Sunday night, I’m running up and down the staircase in my apartment whilst spraying water all over my face and body to get the desired sweaty, red-faced exhausted look. I have no make up on and I’m dead tired and somewhat unimpressed and that’s the picture that ends up on the cover of a major magazine. Yes that one. No not the one where I’m all fabulous. The one were I have a crazy illustrated brain and boney teeth and weird organs and stuff popping out. That’s the one they’ll remember you for.
PS. Don’t even talk to me about the legacy of the BC Transit Bus Guide Girl.
PPS. I have a HUGE & famous brain. I’ll out think all of yous! Seriously, quiz me on anything! I dare you!
PPPS. If you crack a Skeletor joke, I’ll shank you!

“Mega-successful” Tom Williams, CEO of GiveMeaning.com, just appeared on “This Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos”.
Click to check out his interview here.
(if you’re using a Mac you’ll need to download the Flip4Mac plugin to see the video. i don’t wanna hear anything from PC users on this. the irony is noted. thanks.)
A short blurb by CBC on Tom:
Ten years ago, Tom Williams was living large. He was know as ‘The Kid’ At 14-years-old he was the youngest person ever hired in Silicon Valley - a technological wizard.
He was dating models and living out of a swanky hotels. But one day he left all that behind.
Smart and lucky with the ladies… wow if only he started “an online fundraising site emphasizing creative fundraising ideas and other unique forms of charity donation”… Oh wait, he already did that.
The only thing that could possibly make this even cooler is if I was involved somehow. And, indeed, I am. My company, Redpilot, produces podcasts for GiveMeaning.com.
You can find all the GiveMeaning Podcasts here, or click on the thumbnail below to watch the latest GiveMeaning Video.

PS. Gotta love that old skool footage of “The Kid”… so awesome.

Click the above Flickr photo mosaic to view my favourite photographs taken this year.
I finally finished sorting through all my photos (1300+) and organizing them… mostly. I have so many iPhoto libraries spread out over 6 external HDs, a dozen back-up DVDs, my old G4 ibook, a powerbook G4, and now my current Macbook! I want to combine multiple iPhoto libraries (from all of these sources) into one Master iPhoto library that will live on a external HD I have connected to my wireless network via Airport Extreme.
I need help! Мне нужна помощь! Does anyone know an easy, effective way to create a Master iPhoto library without making a big mess (duplicate files, lost files, information, etc)? Есть ли среди моих очень умных русских друзей знает?

Here are some behind the scenes photos that I took of Jessie Farrell’s first music video.
Jessie & band will be playing next at the Stampede Kick-Off Party in Calgary. Here are the details:
Thursday, July 5, 2007
The Calgary Stampede – Kick Off Party
Stampede Park, Calgary, AB
9am: Jessie getting her hair and make-up done.

9:30am: Crew sets up the lights & the camera gear on the Vogue Theatre stage.

10am: Make-up touch up before Jessie’s close-up.

11am: Jessie, Kylee & J-Go goof around between takes.

Noon: One last set-up with Ryland and Kylee before lunch.

Noon and a bit: Ryland’s bass is ace.

1:30pm: Jessie’s wardrobe is touched up as Ryland practices his sweet keys solo. I thought Ry played the bass? Is that a different shirt? Weird.

2pm: Blocking the shot with the director.

Tune in for more photos tomorrow!

Yes. In THOSE shoes.

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 5th), some very brave and “secure” and perhaps “strong and silent” men, including none other than GiveMeaning’s Tom “Runt” Williams, will be hitting the pavement in some sexy ladies shoes to support the Victoria Women’s Sexual Assault Centre.
The VWSAC “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” Event will commence at 10:30am at Centennial Square in Victoria, BC. I’m sure the guys are gonna look pretty hot in their sassy pumps, so if you’d like to come down and cheer or just point and laugh and yell a couple “I told you sos”, I’m sure these brave fellas won’t mind a little embarrassment for such a great cause.
I will be in Victoria following Tom Williams in his shiny red Anne Kline sling-backs (oh yes, they are beautiful, nothing but the best for our Tom) so every painful, blister inducing step will be captured on video. Can’t wait to add some sweet techno beats to the audio track. Should be totally fab. Here’s a picture of Redpilot’s Ry filming the shoe shopping action. I think Tom got a little too excited…

when he took his new shoes for a spin around the store. Whoa Blossom!

In order to look stunning for the great walk and raise some funds, Tom has agreed to shave his legs if he raises $1,000 and his glorious beard if he raises $5,000 through his GiveMeaning project called “Beard be Gone”. All money donated will go directly to the VSAC, so if you would like to donate to a worthwhile charity, please go to “GiveMeaning”.

And between you and me and Tom’s wife, we’d all like to see that beard hit the road jack… and don’t you come back no more, no more, no more, NO MORE.
